"Obedient Faith That Works" | September 13, 2026 | Micah Fox
by Amber George on September 13th, 2026
What does it actually mean to have a faith that works? We are challenged to move beyond simply knowing God's word to genuinely living it out, beginning with three foundational disciplines: being quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. These are not just good manners; they are survival skills for the life of faith. Human anger, when left unchecked, does not produce the righteousness God desires in us. But when we humble ourselves, receive God's word with meekness, and allow it to take root in us, something transformative happens. That word becomes engrafted into us, woven into who we are, producing faith that is alive and active. We live in a culture that prizes knowledge, but James draws a sharp distinction between religious knowledge and spiritual maturity. Knowing what God says and doing nothing about it is not neutral; it is self-deception. The goal is not perfection but faithful obedience, a daily and even moment-to-moment choice to respond to what God shows us.  Read More

"Perspective Under Pressure" | September 6, 2026 | Ps Christina Lowery
by Amber George on September 7th, 2026
Life is hard. That is not a maybe — it is a when. What happens to our perspective when life presses in from every side? How do we see clearly when the weight of trials distorts everything around us? In the middle of every trial, every temptation, and every season that feels unbearable, God is offering us something powerful: a perspective shift. Similar to stained glass, the same circumstances can look entirely different depending on which side we are standing on. From the outside, the glass appears dull and unremarkable. From the inside, it is breathtaking. We are called not to interpret God's character through our circumstances, but to interpret our circumstances through God's character. James reminds us that God never shifts, never casts a changing shadow, and that every good and perfect gift flows from him. When pressure mounts, this perspective is not automatic. It is something we must fight for. And the fight begins with understanding who we truly are: not defined by wealth or poverty, success or failure, but as the prized possession of a Father who chose us.  Read More

"The Power of an Undivided Heart" | August 30, 2026 | Ps Joel Lowery
by Amber George on August 31st, 2026
What does it look like to truly trust God when life feels like it is pulling us in every direction at once? James paints a vivid picture of the double-minded person, someone tossed like a wave on the sea, unstable in everything they do. That image is not just poetic. It is a diagnosis. When our loyalty is divided between God and our own desires, between his voice and the noise of the world around us, we lose our footing. We become reactive, anxious, and aimless. But if we lack wisdom, we can ask a generous God who will not rebuke us for asking. There is a crucial distinction here between doubt and faith-filled questioning. Doubt asks questions in order to walk away from God. Faith asks questions in order to draw closer to Him. We can be confused and still trust. We can be grieving and still believe He is good. The path out of spiritual instability is not more information. It is an undivided heart, one that has settled the question of who gets the final word. We have to ask ourselves: is our heart fully surrendered, or are we straddling two worlds?   Read More

"Listen and Follow Well" | September 21, 2025 | Eric Ward
by Amber George on September 21st, 2025
In this powerful message, we're reminded of the transformative power of truly listening to and following God's teachings. Drawing from Matthew 7:24-29, we explore the parable of the wise and foolish builders. This story illustrates how building our lives on Christ's teachings provides a firm foundation that withstands life's storms. The key takeaway is profound yet simple: listening well and following well releases power in our lives. We're challenged to not just hear God's word, but to put it into practice, echoing James 1:22-25. This message encourages us to slow down, engage deeply with Scripture, and consistently apply God's truths to our daily lives. It's a call to move beyond surface-level faith and truly build our lives on the solid rock of Christ's teachings.  Read More

"Empowered Dads" | June 15, 2025 | Ps Joel Lowery
by Amber George on June 16th, 2025
In this powerful message, we're reminded of the crucial role fathers play in shaping not just their families, but society as a whole. The central theme revolves around being a 'Spirit-filled dad,' drawing inspiration from the book of Acts and the early church. We're encouraged to see fatherhood as God's 'Plan A' for families, with dads serving as catalysts for God's presence in the home. The message emphasizes three key aspects of Spirit-led fatherhood: boldness to lead, calmness in chaos, and legacy-building. By focusing on Acts 4:31 and the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23, we're shown how the Holy Spirit empowers fathers to lead with love and conviction, rather than fear or control. This perspective challenges us to reconsider our approach to parenting, urging us to seek God's wisdom in both tender and corrective moments. Ultimately, we're called to view fatherhood as more than just raising kids – it's about shaping future men and women of God, leaving a mark that outlives us.  Read More
