"Learning to Abide in Jesus" | May 31, 2026 | Eric Ward
by Amber George on May 31st, 2026
What if this summer wasn't just about vacations and cookouts, but about experiencing the power of the Holy Spirit everywhere you go? Imagine praying for someone at Disney and seeing them delivered. Picture being at the pool and God using you to touch someone's heart. The secret to the BEST SUMMER EVER? Abide in Jesus. Not just being a tourist seeking experiences, but a vessel carrying God's presence into every grocery store, family reunion, and unexpected conversation. Just like branches can't bear fruit without the vine, we can't experience a fruitful, Spirit-filled life apart from Jesus. Mary sat at Jesus' feet while Martha was distracted by busyness. Which one are you? The question confronting us is honest and searching: Are we living like we actually believe the Holy Spirit dwells within us? When we slow down enough to remain in Christ through Scripture, contemplative prayer, worship, and seeking His direction daily, we position ourselves for a summer where healing prayers at theme parks, divine appointments at tattoo parlors, and supernatural encounters become our new normal. Start your day asking, "Speak, O Lord, what will You have me do today?" This isn't reserved for spiritual giants - it's available to anyone willing to say, "Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening." Don't just plan activities this summer - plan to remain in Jesus and watch Him move through you.  Read More

"Learning to Breathe Again" | Ps Christina Lowery | January 20, 2026

We're invited into a profound exploration of spiritual breathing - the continuous filling of the Holy Spirit that sustains us through life's most challenging climbs. Drawing from Ephesians 5:18, we discover that being filled with the Spirit isn't a one-time event but an ongoing posture of receiving. The Greek text reveals this as a present, continuous action: we must keep positioning ourselves to be filled, not once, but continually. The beautiful truth here is that we don't produce the Spirit's presence through our own effort; we simply position ourselves through worship, community, and openness to receive what God is already pouring out. Like climbing a mountain at high elevation where every breath becomes precious and intentional, our spiritual lives require us to stop, pause, and intentionally breathe in God's presence. The metaphor of fragile clay jars from 2 Corinthians 4 reminds us that we leak - life drains us, circumstances empty our tanks, and our humanity is weak. But the source never runs dry. When we find ourselves spiritually breathless, holding our breath in survival mode rather than abiding in Christ, we're called back to the gentle leading of the Spirit who never forces but always invites.   Read More
