Being a disciple of Jesus is who we are, not what we do

Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.''

MATTHEW 28:18-20 NLT

This is WHY we do Groups – Jesus commanded us to BE DISCIPLES who MAKE DISCIPLES.

Here at Crossroads, we believe that biblical discipleship happens through intentional relationships, and intentional, authentic relationships aren't created on a Sunday morning - they happen during the week in Growth Groups!

Growth Groups are weekly gatherings designed to help you grow in relationship with your church family while also growing as a disciple of Jesus Christ! In a Growth Group, people do life together, pray, interact with the truth of God’s Word, and encourage one another to live out the Great Commission - to BE DISCIPLES who MAKE DISCIPLES.

be a growth group leader!

Growth Group leaders know we aren't just called to BE disciples, but MAKE disciples!

Growth Groups are lead by ordinary, intentional leaders. An intentional leader understands that part of their role is to reach the lost, make disciples of Jesus, and create Christ-centered environments where disciple making can happen. They understand where a person is spiritually and what is needed to help them grow. Intentional leaders work to create safe environments and encourage people to respond to what God is doing in their life. Jesus spent purposeful time with His disciples and was involved in their daily lives, so we choose to be as well. Intentional leaders move with purpose through their interactions with the people in their Growth Groups and proactively spend time with the people in their Growth Groups outside of their regular meeting.
